Recently, the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Science and Technology announced the results of the province-wide key laboratory accreditation for 2024. The "Provincial Key Laboratory of High-end Intelligent Equipment Gear Transmission Systems," jointly established by HAGG. (leading entity) and Zhejiang University, has successfully earned the accreditation.
The Provincial Key Laboratory for High-end Intelligent Gear Transmission Systems at Hangzhou Gear will focus on addressing the significant national economic needs for gear transmission systems. It will concentrate on cutting-edge technological challenges in high-power-density, intelligent operation and maintenance, low noise and vibration, as well as carbon reduction and energy efficiency—key issues relevant to advanced equipment sectors such as shipbuilding, wind power generation, construction machinery, specialized vehicles, and robotics. The lab will prioritize research and prototype development centered around critical technologies for high-end, high-power gear transmission systems, smart, high-performance gear transmission systems, and eco-friendly, low-carbon gear transmission systems.
By strategically aligning with these research directions, the laboratory is poised to achieve a series of groundbreaking scientific and technological breakthroughs in the field of advanced manufacturing. Meanwhile, as a lab deeply rooted in industry partnerships, it will be able to swiftly translate its research findings into tangible productivity, fostering a seamless integration of technological innovation with industrial advancement.
