Azimuth Thruster
Share to
Azimuth thrusters eliminate the rudder device by integrating the rudder and propeller into one unit, hence they are often called "steerable propellers". Capable of adjusting the propeller's thrust direction through 360 degrees, they can direct 100% of the propeller thrust to the hull when changing course. This feature enables ships to perform maneuvers such as in-place rotation, transverse movement, slow-speed forward/reverse travel, and emergency stopping. Additionally, by changing the propeller's thrust direction, the astern thrust is significantly enhanced, greatly improving the ship's controllability and maneuverability.
The company's newly developed ACRP200 controllable pitch azimuth thruster has passed the identification for Zhejiang Provincial Industrial New Products, and its technology has reached an internationally advanced level.
