Iron-Based Friction Material
Share to
Iron-based friction material takes iron as the main component, with some non-metallic elements added, and is manufactured via powder metallurgy process. It is mainly applied in dry brakes. The material features high dynamic and static friction coefficients, large torque transmission capacity, and high temperature resistance, making it suitable for harsh working conditions. The brakes and clutches adopting this material have a simple structure and can form friction pairs with ordinary steel or powder metallurgy material.
