Invention patents are characterized by their high technological value, relatively stable rights, and long protection periods. However, due to their challenging application process and lengthy examination times, they often demand significant effort from researchers and developers, discouraging many from pursuing them. After learning that the Hangzhou Intellectual Property Protection Center began accepting fast-track pre-examination services for high-quality manufacturing patents in October 2021, the company’s Technology Center promptly selected two outstanding high-quality invention patents: "A Manufacturing Method for Heavy-Duty Herringbone Gear Rings with Split-Mold Assembly, Along with Its Correction Tooling," and "An In-Field and Out-of-Field Alignment Control Structure and Manufacturing Method for High-Speed, Precision, Heavy-Duty Herringbone Gear Rings." These patents were then submitted for entry into the fast-track pre-examination program. The Hangzhou Intellectual Property Bureau subsequently organized experts to conduct an on-site evaluation of the company’s technological innovations and facilitated direct communication between the experts and the company. The bureau ultimately approved the company’s applications. As a result, both patents received authorization notices just three months after filing—and on February 22, 2022, the company successfully obtained the corresponding invention patent certificates.
The establishment of the fast-track pre-examination channel has significantly shortened the patent authorization process, enabling rapid conversion of technological innovations into patents and inspiring R&D personnel with even more creative ideas. The company's technology center will continue to leverage this policy effectively, prioritizing high-quality, high-value invention patent applications for entry into the fast-track pre-examination program. At the same time, we will actively promote the commercialization of scientific and technological achievements, accelerating the pace of corporate R&D innovation and strengthening the market competitiveness of our products.
