Craftsmanship Builds Dreams, Practical Action Revitalizes the Nation: Hangzhou Gear Craftsmen Celebrate "926 Craftsmen's Day"

On September 26, Hangzhou Gear Craftsmen celebrated the nation's first "926 Craftsmen's Day." On this fragrant day filled with the scent of osmanthus, the company's trade union organized the inaugural Hangzhou Gear Craftsmen Symposium.

The symposium was held in the trade union conference room, with Yang Shuiyu, Party Secretary and General Manager; Xu Guiqin, Deputy General Manager and Chairperson of the Trade Union; Ge Biao, Vice Chairperson of the Trade Union; and Sun Jin, Head of the Human Resources Department, in attendance.

The meeting was chaired by Xu Guiqin, Chairperson of the Trade Union. She first expressed her delight that the Hangchi Craftsmen now have their very own festival, and extended her warmest congratulations to Master Lu Lijun on being honored with the prestigious title of "Zhejiang Craftsman."

At the meeting, master craftsmen gathered for an exchange and discussion. Some emphasized the importance of providing apprentices with proper guidance—encouraging their interests and passions, while ensuring that skill-sharing sessions are tailored to each individual’s strengths and needs. Others suggested making every effort to support and mentor their apprentices, helping them unlock greater opportunities for growth within the company. For ambitious young talents, the company has organized unified training programs and standardized certification processes. Additionally, one participant remarked, "To forge superior tools, one must first strengthen oneself," highlighting the need for craftsmen to continuously refine their skills, stay ahead of technological trends, and actively share and exchange their experiences with one another in various ways.

General Manager Yang Shuiyu wished the artisans a happy holiday at the meeting and expressed gratitude for the many insightful suggestions they shared. The artisans present are truly the company’s invaluable assets and serve as its skillful benchmarks. He encouraged everyone to diligently carry forward their craft and expertise. Furthermore, the company should actively promote and celebrate the spirit of craftsmanship, keeping pace with current trends, and foster a positive environment where everyone strives to master technical skills and excel in all endeavors. Finally, he instructed the company’s functional departments to carefully study these ideas and ensure that the artisans’ valuable input and recommendations are promptly addressed and implemented.

Chairwoman Xu Guiqin pointed out that the Hangzhou Gear Craftspeople are the Group Company’s wealth and treasured assets. As the nation increasingly values skilled professionals, she expressed her hope that these exceptional craftsmen will embrace the spirit of craftsmanship, nurture a robust culture of craftsmanship, and pass down their invaluable skills—thus leaving a significant and vibrant mark as the company undergoes transformation and upgrades, driving forward the advancement of intelligent manufacturing.
