On September 26, HAGG Company held a poetry recitation contest titled "Celebrating the 70th Anniversary of New China" in the multi-functional hall. A total of 13 teams, representing 12 Party branches, competed against each other. Company General Manager Yang Shuiyu, along with Vice General Managers Xu Guiqin, Deng Lin, and Huang Zhiheng, attended the event to watch the performances. The contest was organized by the Hangchi Party Committee, with support from the Hangchi Youth League Committee and the Hangchi Science and Technology Association.

This competition is one of Hangchi's series of events celebrating the 70th anniversary of the founding of New China. The event uses the art of reciting both classic and contemporary works as its medium, bringing everyone together to warmly celebrate the nation's milestone 70th birthday. During the preliminary round, 13 outstanding performances were selected from over 20 party branches that submitted entries, advancing them directly to the finals. From the very first contestant, the audience was instantly immersed in the poetic and literary atmosphere. As each performer delivered their heartfelt and diverse readings, listeners alternately felt the lingering smoke of battle across the North China Plain or resonated with the inspiring momentum of China's reform and opening-up era. The 13 finalists ignited the entire venue with their passionate performances, stirring deep patriotic emotions and a profound sense of pride within each heart. Throughout the competition, a popular vote segment was also held, creating an exciting rivalry between performers on stage and those cheering from the audience. Meanwhile, the Hangchi Women's Federation's ethnic dance "Climbing Horses Galloping Forward" and Lu Linfeng's soulful rendition of "Chinese People" from the "Hangchi Good Voice" contest took the atmosphere to its peak—everyone eagerly waved small national flags, turning the multi-purpose hall into a vibrant sea of red.

After a two-and-a-half-hour competition, six groups of contestants were awarded first, second, and third prizes. Here are the winners: First prize went to Dong Xiaoming from the Party-Masses Branch Party Committee for his excerpt from "Ode to the White Poplar"; Second prize was awarded to Lu Qianxin and Yang Zelei from the Comprehensive Support Department Party Branch for their performance of "Lovely Chinese People," as well as Xu Mingteng and Liu Xinlei from the Equipment Factory Party Branch for "My Motherland"; Third prize was given to Kou Jiawen and Chen Hailang from the Enterprise Management Comprehensive Party Branch for "Prosperous China," and to Zhong Junjie, Ruan Shenghuan, and Jiang Yangyang from the Technical Center Party Branch for their heartfelt rendition of "Imagining the 70th National Day." Additionally, Shen Yingchao, Hou Lei, and Zhou Xuan from the Finance, Investment, and Accounting Comprehensive Party Branch took home the "Most Popular Award" with an overwhelming lead of 4,750 votes. Yang Shuiyu, Xu Guiqin, Deng Lin, and Huang Zhiheng presented the awards to the winners.

The judges for this competition were Wang Kuan, a national-level announcer and lecturer at Zhejiang Media and Communications University; Lu Shaonan, a renowned host from the Xiaoshan Radio and Television Station; Wang Jinxian, a veteran anchor with extensive experience at Hangzhou Gear Co.; Jin Xiaoping, chief reporter for the Hangzhou Gear Newspaper; and Wang Baoqing, director of the Hangzhou Gear Research Institute and an amateur poet. Their insightful and concise comments earned them enthusiastic applause from the audience.
