On April 23 and 24, a team of quality engineers from Caterpillar (Qingzhou) Company visited our firm for an exchange on quality issues. During their visit, they delivered a highly informative session tailored to our company’s design, manufacturing, and quality departments. The course, titled "Built in Quality," systematically covered key topics such as establishing a robust quality policy, defining essential tasks and processes, setting up and closing quality gates, and implementing rigorous process monitoring. The session also integrated the F/M/N philosophy and provided insights into the composition of the Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) process conducted before products leave the factory. After the lecture, participants from our quality and manufacturing departments engaged in an in-depth discussion with the Caterpillar engineers, fostering a vibrant learning environment. Through this session, our staff gained a foundational understanding of Caterpillar’s advanced quality management practices and its innovative approaches to quality improvement—insights that we believe will serve as valuable inspiration for our future work.
