HAGG Company Holds 2018 Annual Supplier Conference

On December 29, 2017, the Group Company held its 2018 Supplier Conference at the Junlan Resort Hotel in Shiwai Taoyuan, themed "Develop Together, Move Forward Hand in Hand, and Collaborate Effortlessly for Mutual Success." Leaders of the Group Company, along with more than 150 suppliers, attended the meeting. Seated on the rostrum were Yang Shuiyu, General Manager of the company; Deng Lin, Deputy General Manager; Song Bin, Chief Engineer; and Lou Yuan, Head of the Manufacturing Management Department. The conference was chaired by Jiang Shanlin, Deputy Director of the Manufacturing Management Department.
First, Lou Yuan, Director of the Manufacturing Department, delivered the keynote report for the 2018 Supplier Conference. The report was divided into two parts: Lou Yuan began by briefly reviewing the key achievements of 2017, followed by a detailed explanation of the strategic approach to supplier management planned for 2018.
Chief Engineer Song Bin delivered a procurement and supporting product quality report at the meeting, themed "Develop Together, ADVANCE Hand in Hand—Collaborating Effortlessly for Mutual Success; Quality Shapes the Future." The report was structured into five key sections: achievements made in enhancing supplier product quality; the current status of quality for purchased components; the primary challenges faced in elevating supplier quality at present; specialized product component quality management; and the 2018 Action Plan for Supplier Quality Improvement. This comprehensive overview provided a clear roadmap for advancing supplier quality initiatives next year.
At the meeting, Deputy General Manager Deng Lin read out the documents recognizing outstanding suppliers, winners of the Quality Excellence Award, and winners of the Cooperation Excellence Award, and then presented awards accompanied by commemorative photos. Zhejiang Tianma Company, Zhoushan Haishan Company, and Zhejiang Haihong Company delivered speeches as representatives of the outstanding suppliers, jointly expressing their gratitude to HAGG and reaffirming their commitment to next year's supply efforts.
Following this, Deputy General Manager Deng Lin delivered a keynote speech. He first outlined the challenging market conditions faced in 2017, acknowledging both the difficulties and obstacles confronting suppliers. At the same time, he highlighted four key shortcomings in suppliers' current supply performance: first, their continuously declining production capacity; second, their relatively low responsiveness to collaborative parts required by Hangchi; third, insufficient quality assurance capabilities among certain suppliers; and fourth, inadequate internal management skills at some suppliers. Looking ahead to 2018, he put forth four specific expectations for suppliers: first, continue enhancing the rapid response capability of the supporting resource system; second, intensify efforts to improve quality management; third, strengthen production technology capabilities; and fourth, step up cost control measures, focusing on tapping into internal potential to reduce overall production costs.
General Manager Yang Shuiyu delivered an important speech, first expressing heartfelt gratitude on behalf of HAGG Company to all the suppliers for attending. He then shared a forward-looking analysis of next year's market trends. Highlighting that supply-side reforms and the Belt and Road Initiative’s outward shift in production capacity have sent positive signals—indicating the nation’s increased commitment to bolstering the real economy—he emphasized that suppliers should remain energized and aligned with Hangchi’s development plans. He urged suppliers to collaborate closely with Hangchi, fostering mutual growth and ensuring a win-win outcome for both parties. To better support the supply of Hangchi products and enhance suppliers’ capabilities, General Manager Yang outlined five key requirements for supplier management: 1. Continue strengthening the relationship between suppliers and Hangchi. 2. Prioritize ongoing efforts to elevate product quality. 3. Ensure timely delivery by adhering strictly to agreed-upon schedules, thereby preventing any delays. 4. Foster deeper collaboration between suppliers and Hangchi, encouraging joint research and development initiatives aimed at continuous improvement. 5. Implement rigorous cost control measures throughout the entire product lifecycle, boosting the success rate of first-time deliveries.
Finally, Chairman Feng Guang delivered a speech, once again expressing the HAGG Company’s gratitude to all the suppliers for attending, and outlined three key wishes for them: First, foster sincere collaboration and move forward together; second, pursue mutual benefits and jointly explore opportunities for growth; and third, ensure continuous efforts in just-in-time production and quality enhancement.
