Recently, the "HCT1400 Series Marine Gearbox," developed by HAGG, was awarded the Third Prize of the 2016 Zhejiang Provincial Science and Technology Award in the Machinery Industry by the Zhejiang Provincial Federation of Mechanical Industry.
The HCT1400 marine gearbox features an exceptionally high gear ratio and remarkable thrust capacity, making it ideal for the main propulsion systems of various vessels, including fishing boats and harbor tugboats. Developed independently by HAGG, this innovative design incorporates a three-section housing with a helical split configuration, enabling a large reduction ratio even at a compact center distance. Additionally, it employs a wet-type clutch positioned at the front end along with a rapid oil-drain valve system, which not only shortens the force transmission path but also enhances the clutch’s reliability. The gearbox also adopts an active external support arrangement for the pinion gear, significantly boosting its structural rigidity. During the product development process, finite element analysis and advanced gear modification techniques were utilized, ensuring that the gearbox meets stringent requirements for vibration damping and noise reduction. In December 2015, the product successfully passed Zhejiang Province’s evaluation for new industrial products, filling a critical domestic technology gap and achieving technical performance levels that are internationally advanced.
