HAGG Holds 2016 Work Conference and the 8th Session of the 13th Employee Congress

Golden monkeys welcome the spring, and purple energy flows from the east. On February 19, Hangzhou Gear Manufacturing Co., Ltd. held its 2016 Economic Work Conference and the 8th session of the 13th Employee Congress in the company’s multi-functional hall on the second floor—just as the vibrant spirit of spring was in full bloom. The meeting clearly emphasized that 2016 would be a year dedicated to cost reduction and efficiency enhancement. Attendees included all cadre members at both levels, employee representatives, Party member representatives, senior-title personnel from the company, as well as various outstanding individuals and those recognized with awards.

At the meeting, various outstanding individuals and units were recognized, including the annual "Dual Civilization Units," "Dual Civilization Pioneers," "Outstanding Employees of the Year," "Top Ten Young Skilled Professionals," "ADVANCEd Employee Homes," and "Outstanding Communist Youth League Collectives." Following the awards ceremony, Feng Guang, General Manager of the company, delivered the "Economic Work Report"; Hou Bo, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, presented the "Party Committee Work Report"; Zhang Meng, Deputy General Manager, shared the "Wind Power Project Work Report"; Huang Zhiheng, Deputy General Manager, outlined the "Market Development Initiative Report"; and Xu Guiqin, Chairwoman of the Trade Union, gave the "Trade Union Work Report." Finally, Mao Jianrong, Chairman of the Board and Secretary of the Party Committee, delivered a keynote speech at the meeting and provided specific guidance on the key priorities for 2016.

At the meeting, Feng Guang, the company’s General Manager, delivered a work report titled "Facing Challenges Head-On, Seizing Market Opportunities, Reducing Costs, and Enhancing Efficiency to Kick Off and Set the Stage for the 13th Five-Year Plan." The report reviewed the company’s performance in 2015 and outlined fresh expectations for 2016. It also clearly articulated the guiding principles for the coming year’s production and business operations: aligning everyone’s mindset, maintaining unwavering confidence, and striving diligently to achieve all set targets; intensifying efforts to explore niche product markets and new growth areas, thereby ensuring the fulfillment of annual sales objectives; implementing effective cost-cutting measures to boost efficiency; elevating product quality while steadfastly pursuing technological innovation; and reinforcing accountability to strengthen corporate competitiveness. The report urged executives and employees to stay resolute in their confidence, embrace innovation and transformation, and safeguard the company’s sustainable development—setting a strong foundation and laying a solid groundwork for the successful implementation of the 13th Five-Year Plan!

Hu Bo, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, delivered a report titled "Working Together to Overcome Challenges and Lay a Solid Foundation for the Enterprise's '13th Five-Year' Development." In the report, he provided a comprehensive summary of the Party Committee's work in 2015 and outlined new strategic plans for 2016. The report clearly emphasized that the Party Committee's activities should be guided by the spirit of the Third, Fourth, and Fifth Plenary Sessions of the 18th CPC Central Committee, with the ultimate goal of fostering innovative development within the enterprise. It also underscored the need to further strengthen ideological, organizational, institutional, and作风建设 (work style) efforts, as well as anti-corruption initiatives. By doing so, the Party organization can fully leverage its pivotal role as the political core and steadfast fortress in rallying employees, driving progress, overcoming obstacles, and promoting harmony—thus setting the stage for a successful start and strategic groundwork for the enterprise's "13th Five-Year" development. The report highlighted that the new era, evolving circumstances, and emerging tasks have placed increasingly higher demands on the Party Committee's work. Looking ahead, the road ahead remains long and arduous. All cadres and employees must stay sharper in their awareness, firmer in their resolve, and more proactive in their actions, ensuring that the enterprise's Party organization continues to demonstrate its remarkable cohesion and fighting strength.

Union Chairwoman Xu Guiqin delivered a work report titled "Mobilizing Employee Strength, Unleashing Union Vitality—Making Positive Contributions to the Enterprise's Transformation, Upgrading, and Successful Start of the 13th Five-Year Plan." In her report, she summarized the key achievements of 2015 and outlined the priorities for 2016: broadening our thinking while focusing on practical results, further deepening corporate democratic management; enhancing employee qualifications through intensified skills training, thereby building a highly skilled workforce; strengthening our role in safeguarding employees' rights, refining the support system, and actively promoting harmonious development; fostering a robust corporate culture, elevating employee quality, and driving business growth; and diligently fulfilling our responsibilities, reinforcing internal capacity-building efforts to continuously improve employees' ability to perform their duties—ultimately contributing new momentum to the healthy advancement of all undertakings at Hangchi Gear!

Finally, Chairman Mao Jianrong stated in his speech: "2015 was a year of strategic shift and overcoming challenges for Hangzhou Gear Development—it was also the most difficult year in nearly two decades. Yet, it is truly commendable that our dedicated cadres and employees achieved remarkable results during this period." In his address, Chairman Mao urged all cadres and employees to align their thinking, synchronize their efforts, and diligently implement the specific tasks outlined in both the General Manager's Work Report and the Party Committee's Work Report. He emphasized that leaders at both levels should demonstrate a strong sense of responsibility and mission, leading by example while actively safeguarding the company's interests. Looking ahead to the new year, he encouraged them to carefully strategize their approach, decisively engage in the "Five Major Battles," and wholeheartedly strive toward the successful completion of all the company's objectives!
