Recently, the groundbreaking ceremony for the "26,000 DWT Electric-Propelled Heavy-Duty Deck Cargo Ship" of Shanghai Zhixian Shipping Co., Ltd. was grandly held at Zhejiang Hongsheng Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. in Linhai City, Taizhou. Leaders and representatives from organizations such as the China Shipowners Association and the China Classification Society attended the ceremony, while Feng Guang, General Manager of the Group Company, was invited to participate.
The 26,000 DWT electrically powered heavy-lift deck cargo ship features a steel-frame double-hull design, twin engines, dual propellers, and twin rudders. As the largest electrically powered heavy-lift deck cargo vessel currently built in China, it was designed by Zhejiang Hongsheng Ship Design Co., Ltd. The company is also supplying its GCST33 high-power marine gearbox specifically tailored for this vessel, with an input speed of 900 rpm and a maximum output power of 3,300 kW. Currently, this innovative product is undergoing active design and development.
