On January 9, the 2014 National Science and Technology Awards Ceremony was held at the Great Hall of the People. The project "Key Technologies and Industrialization of High-end, Heavy-Duty Gearbox Transmission Systems," in which our company participated, was approved by the State Council and awarded the Second Prize of the 2014 National Science and Technology Progress Award.
The high-end, heavy-duty gear transmission system has become a critical bottleneck restricting the development of China's related equipment industries, and it has been listed as a priority development theme in the nation's medium- to long-term development plan. Under the support of national science and technology programs such as the National Science and Technology Support Program, our company, together with NanGao Gear, Chongqing University, and the Zhengzhou Institute of Mechanical Research, has formed an industry-academia-research team dedicated to tackling key technological challenges. As a result, significant breakthroughs have been achieved in areas such as innovative design for heavy-duty gear transmissions, vibration and noise reduction, efficient and high-quality manufacturing, and advanced testing and evaluation methods. This project has not only driven technological advancements in the gear industry but also provided crucial support for the upgrading and development of China's cutting-edge equipment, including wind turbine generators, large-scale ships, and offshore platforms.
