Hangchi Successfully Repairs Gearbox for Peer Institution

Six large gearboxes produced by a gearbox company in Xiaoshan District, which had become unusable due to quality issues, were successfully repaired on October 28 by the High-Power Plant of HAGG. The first four units from two earlier batches have already been delivered to customers.

Several months ago, the company learned that six split-clutch gearboxes—produced by a gearbox company located in Xiaoshan District and intended for use on multi-purpose workboats—have remained unusable despite being manufactured four years ago, due to inherent design flaws. As a result, the users are now hoping that HAGG Corporation will provide repairs, modifications, and ensure prompt delivery.

After receiving the repair and modification tasks, the company’s high-power plant immediately collaborated with relevant personnel from the Technical Center to disassemble and inspect the gearbox, uncovering numerous issues. In response, the company redesigned and manufactured several pairs of gears tailored to the user’s specific requirements; optimized the entire hydraulic system; upgraded the oil pump configuration; carefully selected appropriate pipe diameters for the hydraulic lines; enhanced the lubrication conditions for the bearings; and replaced the damaged bearings entirely. Additionally, components such as the oil inlet seat and oil distribution bushings were remapped and redesigned, incorporating our company’s commonly used oil distribution rings to facilitate easy replacement of these critical yet wear-prone parts. Performance tests conducted on the test bench confirmed excellent results, earning high praise from the customer.

The successful repair of this batch of gearboxes has enhanced HAGG Company's market reputation, playing a positive role in further expanding its market presence.
