On July 19, 2013, the District Science and Technology Bureau organized relevant experts to conduct the acceptance review of the district's major science and technology project "R&D of YH350 Hydrodynamic Transmission (2011102)," undertaken by Hangzhou Gear, and approved its successful completion.

To break the international monopoly held by foreign companies over transmission systems used in large railway maintenance machinery, the company has decided to develop the YH350 hydrodynamic gearbox—designed specifically for heavy-duty railway maintenance equipment and backed by its own proprietary intellectual property rights.

Starting from October 2010, after going through product design, production manufacturing, assembly, and dynamometer testing, the first prototype of the YH350 hydraulic transmission was delivered to users in July 2012. Following complete vehicle integration and road tests, its performance metrics fully met real-world usage requirements. Overall, the product’s performance indicators are on par with advanced foreign counterparts, earning high praise from users.

This project has been successfully developed, paving the way for the localization of critical components and replacing imports. It breaks the technological blockade imposed by foreign companies in this field, holding significant importance for expanding China's construction machinery transmission industry and driving regional industrial upgrades.
