The "high-strength, special-vehicle copper-based friction lining," developed by the Powder Metallurgy Plant, was awarded the Special Grand Prize for Outstanding New Product in the Powder Metallurgy Industry at the 2016 China General Machinery Parts Industry Association Conference for Independent Innovation. Additionally, the "Spray-Spreading Friction Lining Core Board with Electroless Plating-Free Preparation Process" received an Excellence Award.

      The high-strength copper-based powder metallurgy friction plate developed under the "High-Performance Special Vehicle Copper-Based Friction Plate" project features a high coefficient of friction, superior energy load capacity, and exceptional core plate strength. Through comprehensive strengthening treatment applied to the entire friction plate, the core plate achieves a hardness ranging from 300 to 350 HV, while the root area of the teeth exhibits compressive residual stress up to 500 MPa. This unique design endows the friction plate with outstanding resistance against torsional vibration-induced fracture—capabilities that surpass those of conventional products by more than five times.
