At the start of the New Year, Shaoxing ADVANCE Company received exciting news: a set of pitch control boxes—designed for use in a vertical wind power generation platform—has been successfully prototype-built. This achievement opens up promising opportunities for the company to explore overseas markets through technological collaboration in the future.
Two years ago, the Hangzhou Gear Manufacturing Branch successfully completed a trial production run of two sets of wind turbine pitch control boxes, based on technical drawings provided by France’s NENUPHAR company. These products are designed to complement the wind power gearboxes supplied to Linjiang Company. In 2017, due to changes in the group company’s production strategy, the trial manufacturing was relocated to Shaoxing ADVANCE Company. Under the close collaboration, support, and guidance from its sister units—especially the Gear Manufacturing Branch—Shaoqian Company took over the production task. Recently, a complete set of wind blade pitch control boxes, identified by assembly number 31000777, rolled off the production line smoothly, with all technical specifications meeting the required standards.
The biggest innovation of this new wind turbine pitch control box, produced by the former company, lies in its revolutionary shift from the traditional horizontal arrangement of wind turbine units to a vertical configuration. This unique structural layout reduces the overall installation height of the wind turbine—from 100 meters down to just 50 meters—significantly lowering both the technical complexity and safety risks associated with installation, as well as cutting installation costs. As a result, it effectively boosts the economic efficiency of wind power generation. With its advanced technology, this product ranks among the best in Asia and is internationally leading.
This new product for vertical wind power generation platforms marks a fresh start for HAGG as it actively expands into overseas wind energy markets, aiming to drive market collaboration through technological partnerships.
