Recently, HAGG warmly welcomed students from the School of Mechanical Engineering at Zhejiang University, class of 2024. Filled with a keen interest in the field of intelligent manufacturing, the students embarked on an immersive internship at Hangzhou Gear's state-of-the-art production workshops, gaining hands-on exposure to the innovative dynamism of cutting-edge equipment manufacturing—and deeply appreciating the artisanal spirit that lies behind China's "national strategic tools."

As a teaching and internship base for Zhejiang University and a joint graduate training center, HAGG actively embodies the philosophy of industry-academia-research integration, providing a vital hands-on platform for universities to cultivate high-caliber, innovative talent. This visit and learning experience not only broadened the students' horizons but also deepened their understanding of China's advanced manufacturing capabilities, further inspiring their enthusiasm to contribute to the nation's drive toward becoming a science and technology powerhouse. It was a vivid lesson that seamlessly blended theory with practice.

In recent years, HAGG has consistently adhered to a development strategy focused on strengthening the company through talent and fostering collaborative innovation. To this end, the group has established a strategic-level industry-academia-research partnership with Zhejiang University in the field of advanced gear transmission technology. Together, the two institutions have jointly undertaken several key national and provincial-level research projects, and they have also co-founded the Zhejiang Provincial Key Laboratory for High-end Intelligent Equipment Gear Transmission Systems. Notably, the project "Research and Application of Key Technologies for High-Power Marine Gearbox Transmission and Propulsion Systems" was awarded the Second Prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award, while the project "Key Technologies and Applications for Design, Manufacturing, and Intelligent Operation & Maintenance of High-Performance Heavy-Duty Gear Transmission Systems" earned the First Prize of the Zhejiang Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award in 2023—both accolades underscoring the exceptional R&D capabilities and industry-leading position of the collaboration in the field of gear transmission.
