HAGG Company Holds the 7th Session of the 14th Workers' Congress

On the afternoon of August 9, HAGG Company held the 14th session's 7th Trade Union Congress. All employee representatives and attending delegates from the company attended the meeting. The main venue was set up in the company's multi-functional hall, while branch venues were established at Linjiang Company, the Powder Metallurgy Plant, the Marketing Management Department, and the Shanbei Factory Area. The meeting was simultaneously broadcast live online. The event was chaired by Xu Guiqin, Chairperson of the company's trade union.

Party Secretary and General Manager Yang Shuiyu delivered a report titled "Take Initiative, Stay Pragmatic, and Strive Diligently to Achieve the Company's Annual Business Goals" at the meeting. He reviewed the company's key accomplishments in the first half of 2019: During this period, the company actively focused on priority markets, significantly boosted production capacity and product quality, and steadily advanced four major initiatives—innovation-driven development, reform and restructuring, foundational management, and team building. Specifically, efforts were made to expand markets and secure sales, with notable progress achieved in areas such as the marine machinery and complete equipment segment, the import-export segment, the construction machinery segment, and accounts receivable collection. Meanwhile, the company prioritized management innovation to enhance efficiency by accelerating reform and restructuring, stepping up digitalization, boosting production capabilities, elevating product quality, strengthening financial management, tapping into cost-reduction potential, and reinforcing safety and environmental practices. Additionally, the company remained committed to driving technological innovation for business transformation and investing in talent development to bolster its overall strength.

In the second half of the year, our top priority should be achieving the annual sales and profit targets. We must strive for steady improvements in production capacity, product quality, management standards, and operational efficiency, continuously strengthening the company’s overall competitiveness and fostering sustained, stable, and orderly growth. We need to focus on key priorities, tackle challenging bottlenecks head-on, and make every effort to fulfill the annual goals and tasks. At the same time, we must reinforce foundational work, address existing weaknesses, and consistently ensure robust production support. Additionally, we should drive transformation and unlock new growth engines, refining corporate management practices with an unwavering commitment to excellence. Furthermore, we must prioritize innovation and build a comprehensive system, firmly advancing innovation-driven initiatives. Lastly, we must strengthen Party building, foster unity of purpose, and fully leverage the Party Committee’s core leadership role. Finally, we should promote coordinated development by effectively managing our subsidiaries.

Following that, Trade Union Chairman Ge Biao delivered a work report on the implementation of the collective contract. Finally, Chairman Feng Guang delivered an important speech, stating: "We must go all out to meet market demands and strive to achieve our annual business objectives. We must stay true to our original aspirations and keep our mission firmly in mind as we celebrate the 60th anniversary of the factory's establishment. Moreover, we should remain steadfast in seizing opportunities to steadily advance corporate reforms, while also embracing open-minded thinking and uniting our efforts to drive the company toward high-quality development."

At the conclusion of the meeting, Xu Guiqin urged all delegation members to effectively publicize and implement the spirit of this conference afterward. She also expressed her hope that the employee representatives would fully leverage their roles, pooling collective wisdom and offering constructive advice as they actively contribute ideas and strategies. Together, she encouraged everyone to unite and lead the workforce in making joint efforts toward achieving the company’s annual business objectives.
