On the morning of July 9, Meng Xiaoyun, Deputy Director of the Xiaoshan District Workers' Technical Association, and her delegation visited our company's Powder Metallurgy Plant to conduct a research and inspection visit at the "Workers' Vocational Skills Innovation Studio." Representatives from the company's trade union and the Powder Metallurgy Plant also attended the event.
The "Lean Production Elite Society" of the Powder Metallurgy Plant was established in 2014 and currently has 9 members, with an average age of 44. All members are key personnel and experts from various positions within the plant. In 2017, the society was honored by the Xiaoshan District Federation of Trade Unions as the "Employee Vocational Skills Innovation Studio." Since its establishment, the studio's project titled "Improving ZL40 Gasket Pressing Efficiency through Multi-Cavity Molding" won the second prize at the finals of the 9th Dongfeng Nissan Cup—Tsinghua IE Liangjian National Industrial Engineering Application Case Competition in 2014. Additionally, their project "Enhancing Surface Quality and Achieving Cost Reduction & Efficiency Gains for Paper-Based Friction Plates Used in Agricultural and Forestry Tractors" received the Xiaoshan District Outstanding Employee Technical Innovation Achievement Award in 2015. The studio has also been recognized with multiple other awards from the company, including those related to proposal management, dual innovation initiatives, and economic-technical innovations.
The research meeting was held at the Powder Metallurgy Plant. First, Qian Dan-yi, a technician and head of the "Lean Production Elite Society," introduced an overview of the workshop as well as its daily operations. Following this, Feng Xiuming, Assistant to the Plant Director, reported on the achievements the "Lean Production Elite Society" has made in recent years, highlighting its success in enhancing product quality, reducing costs, and improving efficiency. She then visited the production floor to provide insights into three projects that were already approved in 2019, sharing both current progress and future prospects. Deputy Director Meng Xiaoyun expressed her full appreciation for the innovative work being done by the studio, encouraging all members to keep up their efforts and develop even more outstanding innovation projects that will contribute to the company's growth and development!
