On May 6, 2019, the launch ceremony for the Xiaoshan District Employee Vocational Skills Training program and the opening of the Hangzhou Gear "Smart Manufacturing" Youth Talent Training Camp were held at the Xiaoshan Technician College. Hu Guorong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Vice Chairman of the district Federation of Trade Unions; Wang Yaolin, Party Secretary of the Technician College; Hou Bo, Deputy General Manager of HAGG; Xu Guiqin, Chairman of the company’s trade union, and other leaders attended the event. Thirty trainees from HAGG, along with student representatives from the Technician College, also participated in the ceremony.
This event was organized by the Xiaoshan District Federation of Trade Unions and hosted by the Xiaoshan Technician College and HAGG Corporation. In line with the district’s drive for innovation and industrial transformation, the event aims to meet the needs of workers by providing services and training opportunities, ultimately cultivating highly skilled professionals who can keep pace with society’s evolving demands. This is already the second time HAGG has held this event; the first session of the training camp achieved remarkable results. Building on that success, the company has carefully selected 30 outstanding participants to join the latest round of intensive training, preparing them to help the company establish a benchmark smart manufacturing facility in the future. Sun Jin, Deputy Director of the Human Resources Department at HAGG Corporation, delivered an opening report detailing the training plan, as well as outlining the subsequent class management strategies, assessment criteria, and incentive mechanisms. Representatives from both the学员 (trainees) and the teaching staff also shared their commitments during the ceremony. Finally, Wang Yaolin, Secretary of the Technician College, delivered a welcoming speech, while the event concluded with the official handover of the training camp flag and the presentation of certificates to the participants.
Hou Bo first expressed gratitude to the district federation of trade unions and Xiaoshan Technician College for their appreciation and support of HAGG. After sharing with everyone the current state of intelligent manufacturing in Germany, he provided an overview of HAGG’s own progress in this area. Finally, he urged all participants: remain humble in your learning, keep an open mind, and immerse yourselves fully in the process; actively explore and delve into new knowledge; and strive to integrate theory with practice, seamlessly connecting what you’ve learned to your daily work responsibilities.
Hu Guorong conveyed the requirements set forth by the District Committee, District Government, and the District Federation of Trade Unions regarding innovation-driven development and industrial transformation and upgrading in Xiaoshan District. Addressing the significant challenges currently faced by the talent pool and skill levels due to evolving societal dynamics, Hu Guorong emphasized: "All participants should develop a deeper understanding of their respective careers. Through this training, you will gain valuable insights, stay more attuned to industry trends, grasp the direction of sectoral growth, and clearly define your career paths—moving steadily toward your goals.
