"Building an academic platform, expanding scholarly expertise, and fostering an academic atmosphere"—the district-level key academic event, the "Gear System Dynamics Modeling and Analysis Training Lecture," jointly organized by the Xiaoshan District Science and Technology Association, the company's Science and Technology Association, the Technology Center, and the Human Resources Department, was successfully held on May 8 in the multi-functional hall on the second floor. The training featured a special lecture delivered by Dr. Song Chaocheng from the School of Mechanical Engineering and the State Key Laboratory of Mechanical Transmission at Chongqing University. Dr. Song previously undertook joint doctoral training at the University of Cincinnati in the U.S. and currently serves as the mentor for Chongqing University's innovative research team focused on high-speed, heavy-load gear transmission. He boasts exceptional theoretical knowledge and extensive hands-on experience in precision gear transmission and mechanical system dynamics. A total of 97 engineering and technical personnel from the company's Technology Center and various branch factory technical departments attended the training session."
Dr. Song provided a detailed introduction to the recent research progress and current status of gear system dynamics, covering six key areas: an overview of gear dynamics, gear spectrum analysis, transmission errors, gear dynamics modeling, advanced gear spectrum analysis, and gear drive testing. He also shared common methods for modeling and analyzing gear system dynamics. Participants unanimously agreed that the training course was highly relevant to their daily work and proved immensely beneficial. After the session, several attendees even engaged in discussions with Dr. Song regarding the practical applications of gear dynamics technology.
