Hangcha Group Company has been selected as a demonstration (cultivation) enterprise in the first batch of National Ministry of Industry and Information Technology's Manufacturing Single-Champion enterprises.

The first batch of National MIIT's Demonstration (Cultivation) Enterprises for Manufacturing Single Champions was recently announced, with a total of 13 companies from Zhejiang Province making the list. Among them, 6 are designated as demonstration enterprises and 7 are in the cultivation phase, accounting for 12.5% of the total—placing Zhejiang third nationwide.

The requirements for these manufacturing Single Champion Demonstration (Cultivation) Enterprises are quite stringent. For instance, demonstration enterprises must "possess a strong market position and a high market share in their respective niche product segments, with the market share of their single-product ranking among the top 3 globally." Additionally, companies are expected to "focus exclusively on a specific, targeted niche product market over the long term, having been engaged in related business activities for at least 10 years—or have been involved in the production and operation of new products for a minimum of 3 years."

At the recently concluded National Conference on Science and Technology in the Machinery Industry, HAGG Company reaped abundant rewards: the company's collaborative project with Zhejiang University—titled "Key Technology Research and Industrialization of Large-Megawatt Wind Turbine Gearboxes"—was awarded the Outstanding Scientific and Technological Achievement Award in the Machinery Industry, while the "R&D and Application of YH350 Hydraulic Transmission for Large-Scale Railway Maintenance Machinery" project earned a second-place prize in the 2016 China Machinery Industry Science and Technology Awards.
