—— Hangzhou Gear Holds Launch Event for Proposal Improvement Project
On June 7, the company held a proposal project launch event in the multi-functional hall on the second floor, aiming to deepen employees' understanding of improvement initiatives, continuously motivate them to actively participate in these projects, strengthen the improvement team, and ultimately achieve the company's goals of reducing costs and boosting efficiency—thus driving the organization’s sustained growth.
Attending the meeting were: Company General Manager Feng Guang, Deputy Party Committee Secretary Hou Bo, and Vice Presidents Tang Hong, Huang Zhiheng, Xu Xueli, Zhang Meng, Yang Shuiyu, Chief Engineer Song Bin, Trade Union Chairman Xu Guiqin, Board Secretary Ouyang Jianguo, Deputy Chief Accountant Zhang Dejun, Deputy Chief Engineer Dai Hongchang, as well as leaders from various departments and branch factories, frontline team leaders from production units, and heads of technical sections. Tang Hong, Xu Xueli, Yang Shuiyu, Wang Yang, and Dai Hongchang served as on-site review experts.
At this press conference, the Proposal Improvement Leading Group conducted acceptance and evaluation of 36 projects completed by various units, ultimately selecting 10 outstanding projects. Ten project representatives then presented, using PowerPoint slides, to showcase the achievements—both before and after the improvements—of their respective initiatives. Meanwhile, expert reviewers provided on-site feedback, offering positive remarks as well as words of encouragement to the presenters. During the review session, short video clips highlighting successful case studies of proposal improvement projects were also showcased.
At the press conference, review experts evaluated the 10 project presenters by scoring them on-site. As a result, six projects advanced to the preliminary round of the annual Lean Competition: "Automatic Powder Dispensing Management System" proposed by Feng Xiuming from the Powder Metallurgy Plant; "Processing and Measurement of Fork Shafts," presented by Shi Guowei from the Equipment Plant; "Improved Inspection Method for Oil Pipe Components," suggested by Jin Lijiang from the Quality Department; "Energy-Saving Improvements to the Nitrogen Generator Compressed Air System," proposed by Pan Xing from the Heat Treatment Plant; "Enhanced Boring Efficiency for High-Wind Unit Components," introduced by Fang Yulong from Linjiang Company; and "Improvement in Precision Marking Processes Using Scribing Templates," presented by Shen Chunhua from the Machinery & Transformer Plant.
At this press conference, Company General Manager Feng Guang expressed his gratitude to the proposers of the improvement project initiatives, expressing his hope that the event would inspire leaders and employees across all branch factories, encouraging more staff members to actively and enthusiastically participate in the project. To this end, General Manager Feng outlined two key requirements for attendees: First, vigorously expand and broaden the scope of the proposal-based improvement management activities; second, urge management departments and cadre at both levels to fully engage in these initiatives, diligently carrying out improvement projects tailored to their respective roles—starting from the grassroots level and extending upward into the management ranks.
