On December 13, the 10th Members' Congress of the HAGG Science and Technology Association was solemnly held in the HAGG Multi-functional Hall. Ji Lianggang, Deputy Director of the Science Communication Department of the Zhejiang Provincial Science and Technology Association; Zhang Guishu, Vice Chairman of the Hangzhou Municipal Science and Technology Association; and Cheng Songyue, Vice Chairman of the Xiaoshan District Science and Technology Association, attended the meeting and delivered speeches. Comrade Xu Guiqin, Chairperson of the company's trade union, delivered a speech on behalf of the company's mass organizations. Comrade Li Chengwu, Deputy Secretary of the company's Party Committee, presided over the congress.
Dai Hongchang, Deputy Chief Engineer of the company, delivered a report titled "People-Oriented, Innovation-Driven: Making New Contributions to Fully Promoting the Company's Scientific Development" on behalf of the 9th Committee at the meeting. In his report, he reviewed and summarized the achievements made by the Hangzhou Gear Association over the past three years, and outlined the organization's strategic direction for the next three years: Guided by the spirit of the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, as well as the Third and Fourth Plenary Sessions of the 18th Central Committee, the association will firmly implement the guiding principles of the 10th Conference of the Hangzhou Science and Technology Association. Upholding a people-oriented approach and fostering innovation, it will stay true to its mission of "serving three key areas while strengthening one," fulfilling its role as a vital bridge and link. Leveraging the unique strengths of the association, the group will mobilize and inspire the company's vast community of science and technology professionals to embrace bold innovation and relentless progress, contributing their wisdom and energy to the company's transformation, upgrading, and innovative development. To enhance the effectiveness of the "Speak and Compare" initiative, the association will comprehensively revise the event guidelines, streamline its processes, and enrich its content. Meanwhile, it will collaborate closely with various mass organizations and relevant departments across the company to robustly carry out public science education activities. Additionally, the association will rely on its extensive membership base and tap into specialized academic groups and professional divisions to organize meaningful academic exchanges. Finally, by strengthening its own organizational structure, prioritizing people-centered approaches, and innovating service platforms, the association aims to continuously elevate its capacity and quality of service for its members.
Leaders from the higher-level science and technology association delivered speeches at the meeting. They first fully affirmed the achievements made by the 9th Committee of the Hangzhou Gear Science and Technology Association, as well as its significant role in supporting science and technology initiatives within enterprises in Hangzhou City. Next, they expressed gratitude and recognition for the strong attention and support shown by the Party and administrative leaders of the HAGG toward the association's work. Finally, they conveyed their profound respect to the vast membership of the HAGG’s science and technology association, as well as to all the dedicated science and technology professionals who have worked tirelessly for the association’s success.
Mao Jianrong, Party Secretary and Chairman of the company, extended his congratulations on the convening of the conference and sent greetings to all the company's science and technology professionals. After fully recognizing the achievements made since the 9th Congress of the Company's Science and Technology Association, he emphasized that, in the face of new circumstances, new tasks, and new opportunities for development, our company's science and technology professionals must leverage their wisdom and creativity, uphold a strong sense of responsibility and core values. They should effectively harness the role of science and technology personnel—playing a vital "vanguard" role in innovation and entrepreneurship, serving as influential "driveways" in deepening reform, and demonstrating exemplary leadership in promoting the spirit of science. Moreover, it is crucial to firmly uphold the Party's leadership over the work of the Science and Technology Association, stepping up support and care to continuously open up new horizons for the development of science and technology. All members of the Science and Technology Association are encouraged to actively participate in the association's activities, while party branches and various units are urged to provide robust support for the Association's initiatives and actively engage in its endeavors.
Feng Guang, General Manager of the company and Chairman of the Science and Technology Association, fully affirmed the work accomplished by the 9th-term Science and Technology Association. He expressed gratitude for the dedicated efforts of the association's secretariat, acknowledged the hard work of all its members, and thanked the higher-level science and technology associations for their strong support of Hangchi’s科协. He emphasized: "Moving forward, the科协 must center all its activities around the core mission of the company’s production and operations. At the same time, we should innovate our work strategies in alignment with the broader macroeconomic environment. Moreover, we must uphold and carry forward the outstanding traditions of Hangchi’s科协, seamlessly shifting focus from domestic to international demand. By doing so, we will enhance the科协’s overall capabilities and make new, significant contributions toward the company’s comprehensive advancement of scientific development."
The conference elected the 10th Committee of the HAGG Science and Technology Association in accordance with the charter, appointing comrades such as Feng Guang and 14 others as members of the association's 10th Committee.
