On July 28, the product technology review meeting for the domestically produced YH350 hydrostatic transmission—a large-scale railway maintenance machine jointly developed by Kunming China Railway Heavy Machinery Group Co., Ltd. and HAGG—was successfully held at Xiaoshan Hotel. Feng Guang, General Manager of the Group Company, along with other leaders, attended the meeting.

At the meeting, project personnel from Hangzhou Gear and Kunming Zhongtie respectively presented reports on product research, design, and manufacturing; project implementation progress; and application status. The expert panel reviewed the relevant documentation and conducted an on-site inspection. After thorough inquiries and discussions, they concluded that the review materials were complete and met the technical evaluation criteria. Moreover, the product prototype fully satisfied the requirements of real-world operating conditions, with all functions and performance metrics aligning with the "YH350 Hydrodynamic Transmission Industrial Assessment Test Outline." This achievement successfully realized the goal of domesticating the technology, and the overall performance has reached the advanced level of comparable international products. The expert panel unanimously agreed to approve the technical review of the "Large-Scale Road Maintenance Machinery Domesticated YH350 Hydrodynamic Transmission" project.

The YH350 hydrodynamic transmission was jointly developed by Kunming China Railway and HAGG starting in 2009, aiming to localize critical components for large-scale railway maintenance machinery, replace imported parts, and break the technological blockade imposed by foreign companies in this field. After undergoing multiple stages—including scheme discussions, technical design reviews, manufacturing, and bench testing—the product was installed and put into operation in 2012. Field tests confirmed that both the transmission and its E-components met performance and reliability standards required for actual operations. The successful development and application of the YH350 mark a significant step forward in the localization of key components for large-scale railway maintenance equipment, while also laying a solid foundation for Hangzhou Gear’s transmission products to enter the rail transit industry.
