On May 28, 2014, the "HAGG Employee Skills Training, Assessment, and Competition Kick-off Meeting" was successfully held at the company's cinema.

The "Two-Year Implementation Plan for Employee Skills Training, Assessment, and Competitions" is based on the company's 12th Five-Year Talent Development Plan and the 2014 Work Conference, which comprehensively outlined the overall strategy for making 2014 the "Year of Quality and Efficiency." The initiative aims to further enhance employees' professional competence, elevate their skill levels, and cultivate a high-caliber workforce that demonstrates strong safety awareness, exceptional work efficiency, and outstanding business capabilities.

This meeting was chaired by Vice General Manager Li Chengwu, and attended by nearly 1,000 employees from the company’s two-level management team, branch union chairpersons, Youth League branch secretaries, as well as the company’s skilled masters, leading vocational skills experts, technicians, and senior technicians. During the event, Union Chairwoman Xu Guiqin delivered an opening speech to rally participants, while highly skilled talent representatives Master Zhao Shuilin and Master Lu Lijun each shared their insights. Finally, General Manager Feng Guang and Chairman Mao Jianrong offered their respective expectations and suggestions.

At the meeting, General Manager Feng Guang outlined six key requirements for the event: Leaders at all levels must place high priority on employee skills training, assessment, and competition activities. They are also urged to hold regular meetings of the leading group, clearly defining the priorities for each phase of the skills-training and competition initiatives. Strengthen assessments and focus on practical outcomes. It’s essential to cultivate model employees and effectively implement mentorship programs—passing on knowledge, offering assistance, and guiding others—so that employees can actively engage in these training and competition activities through enjoyable, educational methods. Additionally, the company should intensify its promotional efforts via various communication channels to maximize their positive impact. Mr. Feng emphasized that enhancing employees' overall素质 is a long-term and challenging task that cannot be accomplished overnight. Therefore, all units are encouraged to continuously reflect on their experiences during the event and apply those insights to future initiatives. (The full speech will be distributed separately.)

Finally, Chairman Mao Jianrong put forward two key points: First, it is crucial to fully recognize the significance of this event. Second, as the national economy is currently undergoing a transformative period, the company should place even greater emphasis on cultivating professional technical personnel and innovating approaches to talent training. The meeting encouraged all employees to actively participate in the two-year action plan aimed at enhancing employee skills through training, assessments, and competitive contests, fostering a learning environment characterized by "mastering technology, benchmarking skills, and striving for excellence."
