On the afternoon of March 27, the mobilization conference themed "Enhancing Quality, Boosting Efficiency" was successfully held in the company's multi-functional hall. The meeting focused on communicating and rallying support for the "Year of Quality and Efficiency," as well as outlining the overall deployment plan. Attendees included leaders from the group company, such as Chairman Mao Jianrong and General Manager Feng Guang, along with all cadre members at both levels and chairpersons of the branch trade unions. The meeting was chaired by Vice General Manager Li Chengwu.
Vice General Manager Li Chengwu first read out the commendation documents for the 2013 "Quality Enhancement" campaign, after which Chairman Mao Jianrong and General Manager Feng Guang presented awards to the outstanding units and individuals recognized for their contributions to quality improvement. Zhou Huanhui, Deputy Director of the Equipment Factory—the unit honored as an advanced contributor to quality enhancement—shared a slideshow presentation with attendees, outlining the factory’s key initiatives in quality improvement during 2013. Following this, participants attentively watched and listened to video testimonials and acceptance speeches from three exemplary individuals: Chen Liang from the High-Power Factory, Zhu Donghui from the Gear Factory, and Zhang Xiaoyun from the Quality Department. Finally, Vice Chief Engineers Song Bin and Wang Yang, representing the company’s management team, provided detailed introductions and outlined specific action plans aimed at both enhancing product quality and boosting operational efficiency.
At the meeting, General Manager Feng Guang delivered a summarizing speech on the "Enhance Quality, Boost Efficiency" initiative. He first acknowledged the contributions made by outstanding units and individuals during the quality improvement campaign, expressing his hope that everyone in the company would learn from these role models and strive to align themselves with their standards. Next, he provided a comprehensive review of the 2013 "Quality Enhancement" efforts and emphasized the need for all company-level managers and employees at both levels to reflect deeply on quality and efficiency. He stressed the importance of cultivating a stronger sense of urgency and crisis awareness, stating, "On the journey of improving quality and enhancing efficiency, we have no room for retreat." He urged everyone to treat this mission as a long-term, ongoing endeavor. Looking ahead to 2014, General Manager Feng outlined four key requirements for advancing the "Enhance Quality, Boost Efficiency" initiative: 1. Develop a holistic plan, implement it step by step, and drive it forward effectively. Ensure that the message of "enhancing quality and boosting efficiency" is thoroughly communicated and embraced by every employee, with a strong focus on execution to make tangible progress. 2. Refine tasks, prioritize critical areas, and address key challenges. Pay special attention to quality control in new product design, fully recognize the significance of tiered management systems, systematically plan and validate quality improvement projects, and ensure meticulous implementation at every stage. 3. Embrace innovative management practices, elevate employee competencies, and operate with pragmatism and efficiency. Conduct thorough assessments of each unit’s responsibilities and individual roles, clearly define leadership and departmental duties, streamline management processes, and establish appropriate institutional frameworks. Additionally, organize targeted training programs and skill competitions tailored to real-world needs. 4. Intensify communication efforts, foster a cultural shift, and embed quality and efficiency principles into daily operations. Beyond successfully executing the "Two-Year Action Plan for Quality and Efficiency," it is essential to seamlessly integrate the mindset of "quality enhancement and efficiency improvement" into every aspect of work—right down to individual actions and everyday decision-making. Ultimately, this will help cultivate a deep-rooted culture of quality and efficiency, enabling every Hangchi employee not only to embody the core values of "loyalty, dedication, unity, and excellence," but also to become true ambassadors of "high-quality, high-efficiency" practices within the organization.
Chairman Mao Jianrong stated that this meeting was a great success. Regarding the 2014 quality and efficiency initiatives, Chairman Mao outlined two key requirements: First, ensure thorough implementation—specifically, meticulously carry out each item of the "Enhance Quality, Boost Efficiency" action plan. Second, elevate employee competence by strengthening guidance and education aimed at helping workers improve both quality and efficiency.
