On March 25, the GCH1000 gearbox—produced by Hangzhou Gear and designed for specialized vessels—was shipped to the shipyard specified by the customer, marking the successful completion of the product's trial manufacturing.
The GCH1000 gearbox features a single-stage transmission configuration, with horizontal, non-coaxial input and output arrangements. It integrates clutching, speed reduction, and the ability to withstand propeller thrust. Additionally, it comes equipped with an integral turning gear mechanism, a backup motor-driven pump, and various monitoring devices. The system boasts a complex yet compact layout, making it ideally suited for use in controllable-pitch propeller main propulsion systems aboard specialized-purpose vessels.
