HAGG Corporation's new transmission system for the agricultural machinery market successfully completed trial production in Shaoxing ADVANCE.

Golden autumn brings a crisp, refreshing vibe, and HAGG’s Shaoxing ADVANCE Company has just delivered exciting news: the company has successfully completed the trial production of the PTL220 transmission system—the first set designed specifically for large tractors. This breakthrough not only breaks the domestic monopoly held by major foreign companies but also marks Hangzhou Gear as the first Chinese enterprise capable of independently developing core transmission systems with proprietary intellectual property rights—and ready to produce high-horsepower tractor drivetrains. This achievement lays a solid foundation for the company’s future entry into the high-end agricultural machinery market.

Currently, the core transmission systems for domestically produced high-horsepower power-shift tractors all rely on products from major international companies—there are no comparable domestically branded products yet.

In May 2017, Zoomlion Heavy Industry Science & Technology Co., Ltd. signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Hangzhou Gearbox ADVANCE for large-scale tractors. In response to Zoomlion's needs, the collaborative model—featuring R&D led by the Engineering Division of the Technology Center and manufacturing undertaken by Shaoxing ADVANCE—has been fully launched.

In late July 2018, the product drawings for the PTL220 transmission system were completed and fully dispatched to the Shaoxing company. With strong support and guidance from the Group Corporation’s Technology Center, all managers and employees at the Shaoxing company pooled their expertise, worked collaboratively, and successfully completed a two-month trial production effort. Recently, the first complete set of the PTL220 40 001 transmission system rolled off the production line smoothly, with all technical specifications meeting the required standards.

The PTL220 transmission system, produced by the company's previous entity, is the most complex power-shift gearbox in Hangchi's history. Its advanced technology has broken the technological monopoly held by major foreign companies in China, marking a domestic first. The PTL220 transmission assembly includes the ND220 power-shift gearbox, the NT220 synchronizer-shift gearbox, the HCRC40 drive axle, the QL750 power take-off unit, and a hydraulic control system. It features an integrated axle-and-gearbox design and boasts 40 forward gears and 40 reverse gears.

This new product for large tractors is independently developed by HAGG, leveraging technology to drive market collaboration, replacing imports, and marking an exciting new beginning in actively expanding into the high-end agricultural machinery sector.
