HAGG Company's 4th Employee Games Opens

On May 21, nearly 500 employees of HAGG Company gathered at Dingshan Square by Xianghu Lake to attend the opening ceremony of the 4th Hangzhou Gear Employee Games and the 3rd Xianghu Lake Loop Hiking Competition. The event showcased the vibrant spirit of the company’s staff and boosted their cultural and sports activities, playing a positive role in fostering a harmonious corporate environment.
At 7:30 a.m., the banks of Xiang Lake—bathed in warm sunshine, gentle breezes, and shaded by lush greenery and tender grasses—were neatly lined with 13 participating teams as General Manager Feng Guang delivered the opening speech. He emphasized that, to further promote Hangchi's corporate spirit of "Loyalty, Dedication, Unity, and Excellence," and to lay a solid foundation for the Group's healthy and sustainable growth, the company's trade union would be hosting the fourth Employee Sports Meet. He encouraged all employees and staff to embrace the event with a united, determined, and positive attitude, pushing themselves beyond limits to achieve outstanding results. Moreover, he expressed his hope that the enthusiasm and vitality sparked during the Games could be channeled into a powerful collective force, inspiring everyone to remain dedicated to their jobs, take pride in the company as if it were their own home, and work together to overcome challenges and forge ahead.
The opening ceremony was hosted by Hou Bo, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee. He stated that this year’s sports event features eight competitive events, including endurance walking, ball games, a song contest, family-oriented parent-child sports activities, and card games—activities that will run from May all the way through December.
The company’s Chairman, Mao Jianrong, loudly announced the opening of the 4th Hangzhou Gear Employees’ Sports Meet and officially kicked off the毅行 (Yi Xing) event. Thirteen teams, closely following their team flags, set off on their "long-distance journey" at the sound of the starting gun.
This year's endurance walk competition awarded the top six teams (with each team’s score determined by the finishing time of its slowest member). The route spans exactly 9.5 kilometers: participants will complete one full loop along the third phase of Xianghu Lake’s cycling path. At the start, everyone was fired up and eager, jogging briskly while waving and smiling at the cameras. But once they passed the first checkpoint—where stamps were collected—it became clear that strategies and teamwork began to take shape. Some team members surged ahead, leaving others far behind; yet even those in front couldn’t keep up indefinitely, as stamina levels varied across the group. Meanwhile, other teams wisely positioned their weaker female teammates safely in the middle, ensuring they wouldn’t be left behind. As the race drew to a close, some carried, pulled, or even gently supported their lagging teammates—yet every member remained united, moving forward as one cohesive unit. Dressed in matching team uniforms, they marched gracefully along the shores of Xianghu Lake, creating not only a visually stunning scene but also a heartwarming display of camaraderie. By early summer’s 9 a.m. sun beating down on the cycling path, the heat was intense—but all participants persevered until the very end, crossing the finish line with determination and pride.
Ultimately, the Gear Factory—Finance & Investment Integration—Manufacturing Management Integrated Team secured first place with an outstanding spirit of teamwork and unwavering determination, finishing in 1 hour, 3 minutes, and 6 seconds. The remaining top five teams were, in order: the High-Power Factory Team, the Heat Treatment Factory Team, the Transformer Factory Team, the Warehouse Management Department Team, and the Technology Center—Mason—Company Office Team.
